About Us

Health In Action Community Pharmacy is established by Health In Action, a non-profitable organization, and is managed by a group of registered pharmacists. We deliver a variety of pharmacy services, including medication dispensing services, personalized consultation services, health talks and public education.

Apart from community pharmacy services, we collaborate with other community organizations, professional bodies and academia to drive the development of primary care pharmacy service through cycles of “service, research, advocacy and education”. We strive to achieve health equity in society through a medical-social collaboration and transdisciplinary model.

Our Team

Health In Action’s transdisciplinary team includes nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, dietitian, nutritionists, social workers and health coaches. Our team includes nurses, physiotherapist, pharmacist, nutritionist and social workers.

Health In Action Community Pharmacy is run by registered pharmacists. Our pharmacy team also include enthusiastic visiting pharmacists and pharmacy students.

Aims & Objectives

  • Provide affordable and accessible drugs and medical supplies to the public.
  • Promote community health, self-care, disease prevention and medication safety.
  • Enhanced patient autonomy and self-management among people with chronic health conditions and their caregivers.
  • Bridge the gap between pharmacy and community services through medical-social collaboration and transdisciplinary service models.

Education and Research

In primary care system of Hong Kong, the role of pharmacists and pharmacy services have been gradually established and expanded. Health In Action has colloborated hand in hand with Department of Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the University of Hong Kong since the establishment of community pharmacy service. We collaberate to drive the development of primary care pharmacy service through knowledge exchange, education and research.

Health In Action Community Pharmacy is a teaching pharmacy of Department of Pharmacology & Pharmacy, the University of Hong Kong. We strive to promote primary care and health equity in local pharmacy training, and nurture the next generation of pharmacy leaders in primary care.
