Ms Lynn Gentile

Human Rights Officer

Ms Lynn Gentile is the focal point on the right to health in the Thematic Engagement, Special Procedures and Right to Development Division of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights since 2012. Based in the Human Rights and Economic and Social Issues Section, she is involved in providing technical support on human rights-based approaches to health within OHCHR and with Member States of the United Nations as well as in promoting the right to health in inter-agency and other stakeholder processes. Lynn has also worked in the Human Rights Treaty Bodies Division supporting several committees, including the Committee on the Rights of the Child and the Human Rights Committee during the cyclical reviews of how States are implementing their treaty obligations. Prior to joining OHCHR, Lynn worked in the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court on cooperation in the context of ongoing and prospective investigations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the University of Oslo.
